Rotary Club Jaipur

Rotary is an organisation of business and professional person united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

Rotary is the world’s largest an International service organisation whose stated purpose is to provide humanitarian service and to advance goodwill and peace around the world. It is a non-profit, non-political and non-religious organization open to all with a membership of 1.2 million individuals.

Rotary Club Jaipur, the oldest and main Rotary Club in Jaipur, was established on 17 March 1947. Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan state in India. The club has its own infrastructure located at Rotary Bhawan, Church Road, near M.I. Road, Jaipur. For more than 77 years, the club has been dedicated to community service in Jaipur.

Sir V.T. Krishnamchari (Prime Minister Jaipur- State) was the First President of our Club. Club has seen many eminent personalities serve as Club Presidents, including renowned cardiologist Rtn. Dr. Robert E. Helling and Chief Justice Rtn. S. K. Ghosh. Other notable presidents include Rtn. Hari Sinha, Rtn. R.M. Kasliwal, Prof. Indu Shekhar, Rtn. Vijay Chandra Durlabhji, and Rtn. Khel Shankar Durlabhji.

Rotary Club Jaipur has also produced Five RI District Governors were Dr. M.N. Kathju (1967-68), Justice B. P. Beri (1970-71) , Dr. B. N. Consul (1977-78), Rtn. K.S. Sethi (1987-88) and Rtn. Sumer Kumar Jain (1995-96).

Rotary Bhawan Foundation stone was laid by Hon’ble Governor Sh. Sardar Hukam Singh JI on 14Nov1971 and its inaugural was done by Hon’ble Governor Sh. Sardar Jogendra Singh Ji on 25Aug1973.

Rotary has celebrated 75th Year Charter Day in March 2022 in the presence of Hon’ble Rajasthan Governor Sh. Kalraj Mishra JI.

Our Club has sponsored many other Rotary Clubs in Jaipur.

Also Club Sponsored Active Interact Clubs are more than prominent 50 Schools of Jaipur. The purpose of Interact clubs is to provide opportunity for young people (Age between12to18) to work together in a world fellowship dedicated to service and international understanding. Rotary Club in promoting seven Areas of Focus through Interact clubs. Organising Awareness Rallies, Plantation, Cleanness Drive, Blood Donation Camps, giving platform for students to compete interschool in Hindi / English Debates, Patriotic songs, Bhakti Sangeets, Scholarships etc.

Club is having Two Active Rotaract Clubs, Rotaract Club of Jaipur and Rotaract Club of Aayojan School of Architecture.

Also Club having four RCC (Rotary Community Corps) as Bilwa, Sheopur, Kuli & Ladana giving their community services in the Rural Areas.
